Compression (Tips) + Chart with Settings

* Every setting that you find to this site or any other site it's just a good starting point.

- Do not over-compress. It may sound unnatural, unless that's what you want to achieve.

- Electric Guitars are ready-compressed signals so there's no much benefit of compressing them. But you may experiment and add slight compression.

- I never compress hi-hat/overhead. In fact, I hate compression in overhead.
But if your song needs it be sure to add very little compression.
It's all a matter of taste.

Remember:
Your ears and the mix can tell you the best settings.
